Tasks & Responsibilities

MUST have Site work or excavating estimating experience
Prepare takeoffs/bids/estimates based on proposal documentation with detailed pricing in a timely fashion
Provide alternate solutions and pricing to customers
Review, interpret, and analyze project documentation: contracts, spec sheets, blueprints
Work with vendors and suppliers on pricing and job specs
Attend pre-bid meetings and/or perform pre-bid job site visits
Manage project from start to finish
Ensure schedule stays on track
Maintain a positive working relationship between all co-workers and employees of subcontractors, inspectors and vendors
Work in a productive and efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of quality work.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field or project engineer or construction estimator
Background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering and/or Mathematics
Must be able to read, interpret business documents, technical specifications/procedures, and government regulations.
Must be self-motivated, organized and have strong written and oral communication skills, high attention to detail and meet critical deadlines.
Must be friendly, reliable and work as a team.
Knowledge in the following software applications is a plus: MS Office, HCSS Heavy Bid
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Must have a valid driver’s license issued within the United States and clear of multiple and/or major violations.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and motor vehicle drivers abstract.
In compliance with federal law, must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document forms upon hire.
