A well-established health services facility in NY, NY is seeking a Registered Dietician to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients to provide comprehensive nutritional care and education.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: On-site
- Shift: Daytime
- Schedule: Full-time, 9am-5pm, including one Saturday per month
- Hours: Standard working hours with break time as per policy
Responsibilities:
- Screening and assessing patients based on care levels
- Determining nutritional needs and providing follow-up care
- Interviewing patients and/or families to obtain dietary history
- Monitoring and educating about food/drug interactions
- Recording interactions in the patient education section of medical charts
- Interpreting lab and social data relevant to nutritional care
- Consulting with physicians on diet modifications
- Modifying patient menus as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited college/university
- New York State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist
- Registered Dietitian credentialing (CDR)
