Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby / Labor & Delivery
Location: Manahawkin, NJ 08050
Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Local: $55 – $58/hour
Travel: $65 – $70/hour (inclusive of stipend)
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Mother Baby and/or Labor & Delivery unit. This role is responsible for comprehensive assessment, coordination of care, and delivery of safe and effective clinical services to mothers, newborns, and laboring patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesMother Baby RN Responsibilities
Provide postpartum nursing care to mothers and routine care to newborns
Monitor and document maternal and neonatal vital signs and recovery progress
Educate patients and families on newborn care, feeding methods, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal status throughout labor
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
Support patients and families emotionally and clinically throughout the labor process
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey or compact license, as applicable)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Mother Baby and/or Labor & Delivery
BLS required ; ACLS and NRP preferred (based on unit requirements)
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work night shifts and a 12-hour schedule
