Job Description

Refactor Games is a AAA sports video game studio . We are developing the next generation of professional football (soccer) video games using Unreal Engine 5 .

We’re looking for a DevOps Manager who can lead our build, automation, and infrastructure efforts across engineering, art, and QA. You’ll manage CI/CD systems, cloud environments, and deployment pipelines to keep development fast and reliable. 

You’ll Work On:
  • Designing, maintaining, and optimizing automated build and deployment pipelines for Unreal Engine 5 projects
  • Managing CI/CD infrastructure (Jenkins, TeamCity, or equivalent) across multiple environments
  • Supporting Perforce and source control workflows, including branching, labeling, and integration builds
  • Improving build reliability, speed, and scalability for large-scale asset pipelines
  • Administering and optimizing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for distributed builds, backend services, and dedicated servers
  • Leading a small DevOps and build engineering team while collaborating closely with gameplay, rendering, and QA leads
  • Overseeing automation for internal milestones, external builds, and console submission packages
  • Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure uptime and stability across all development environments

Requirements:
  • 7+ years in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Systems Engineering (game development preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5 build processes, packaging, and automation
  • Experience with Perforce source control systems and branching/release management
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve build, deployment, and infrastructure issues quickly
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing DevOps and cross-discipline collaboration
Bonus Points:
  • Experience supporting live multiplayer games or continuous delivery pipelines
  • Experience with telemetry, analytics, or server orchestration for online gameplay
  • Familiarity with automated testing and performance monitoring tools for Unreal projects
  • Passion for football (soccer) and sports video games

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role : ideal for someone who can bridge Unreal Engine development workflows with scalable DevOps practices .
