Job Description

Overview:

Foot Locker is seeking a collaborative and strategic Senior Manager, Internal Communications to drive communication that inspires, informs, and connects our global workforce. This role helps shape how we communicate across the company, building understanding of key priorities, strengthening our culture, and enhancing the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller and organized team leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring all deliverables are timely, consistent, and aligned to business goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Write, edit, and manage compelling content for internal channels, including intranet, employee emails, and more.
  • Maintain the internal editorial calendar and ensure timely, coordinated communications across departments.
  • Oversee and optimize internal communication platforms and tools, ensuring content is fresh, relevant, and accessible.
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies and plans that align with Foot Locker’s mission, values, and business priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional team, including HR, Marketing, and Corporate Communications, to ensure clear, consistent, and coordinated messaging across the organization.
  • Manage internal communication initiatives related to change, transformation, and employee engagement.
  • Use feedback and analytics to measure communication effectiveness and continuously improve messaging and channels.
  • Proactively manage Foot Locker’s LinkedIn
  • Lead and coach a small team of communicators, providing direction, feedback, and development opportunities to drive excellence across all internal communication efforts.
  • Oversee day-to-day team operations, ensuring deliverables are well-planned, executed on time, and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain visibility into all ongoing projects and priorities, ensuring alignment with business needs and leadership expectations.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Lead internal campaigns and moments that celebrate employees, recognize achievements, and reinforce company culture.
  • Create and manage communication plans for enterprise-wide events such as town halls, team weeks, and milestone announcements.
  • Champion storytelling that reflects Foot Locker’s heritage, values, and connection to sneaker culture.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in internal communications or employee engagement, ideally within a large or global organization.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to translate strategy into engaging messages for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a small team, managing workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with digital communication and employee engagement tools

Benefits:

The annual base salary range is $107000 - $140000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
