Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns. The RN collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based nursing interventions throughout the continuum of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care activities
Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on individual patient needs
Assess patients to identify care priorities using clinical judgment and established frameworks
Develop, coordinate, and update individualized plans of care through ongoing assessments
Initiate assessments based on patient conditions, physician diagnoses, and functional health needs
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care assignments
Document care in accordance with standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
Advocate for and support evidence-based nursing practices and care innovations
Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice models
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum 3+ years of recent Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing experience
Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills
Ability to manage care for postpartum patients and newborns in an acute care setting
