Affiliated with STARR Restaurants and located  in the New York EDITION, The Clocktower serves modern cuisine with a palpable U.K. sensibility. Offering tastes of contemporary London just steps from the leafy, lively sanctuary of Madison Square Park. A 90-seat gastronomic gem, the restaurant comprises three intimate dining rooms, a dedicated billiards room and a lively bar made up entirely of 24k gold leaf, each individual space exuding its own personality. The menu celebrates and elevates classic British fare, built around simple, satisfying plates with subtle refinements; the inspired wine program features an award winning collection of 250-bottles o ffering varying styles highlighting both Old and New World producers. Both powerful and delicate - the list includes wines with vintage depth, iconic producers, and a beautiful medley of fruit-forward and herbaceous selections promising a harmonious pairing to any menu selection. 

Now seeking a dynamic and talented  Sommelier to join The Clocktower's service team!This position will be responsible for guiding guest's experience through service and administrative and educational functions. 

This position offers a comprehensive package including:

• A tipped hourly rate of $11.00 + tips

• 2+ years of Sommelier experience in upscale or fine dining restaurants
• The ability to work a minimum of 3 - 4 shifts per week 
• Thorough understanding of various tools and techniques for wine and food service
• Ability to meticulously perform tableside wine and food service while under pressure
• An uncompromising commitment to excellence and team success
• A warm, welcoming, and approachable demeanor  
• WSET Level 2, CMS-Certified preferred
